We have had such a great start to the Summer term in Class 1. We have already been extremely busy starting our new topic looking at the differences in our World. We have been reading a very special book called ‘Handa’s Surprise’ and learning all about Ghana in Africa. We have been talking all about how different it is for children living in Ghana compared to us in the UK and have all written letters to Mrs Mackenzie asking lots of questions about Ghana and the way of life for the people in Ghana.
We also had a fantastic time celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday last week and we had a tea party with the rest of the school. It was so much fun! We performed our country dancing routine to years one and two. We also celebrated by eating cucumber sandwiches that we made all by ourselves!
We are so proud of how well Class 1 have come back from the Easter break with smiling faces and enthusiasm, ready to start the new term. Keep up the great work!
